How do I begin to descripe Deerhoof's music? Noise rock? noise punk? I think putting their music into any box that small is a disservice to how diverse their catalogue is.

What they mean to me

I learned about Deerhoof when I mentioned to my friends that Kero Kero Bonito was on the Polyvinyl label in nearby Champaign. My friend Andrew spent some time digging through other bands on the label and found Deerhoof.

Examples

Maybe their most popular song, there's a real psychedelic vibe to this track. To me this sounds both modern and like it came out of some band from the 60's.

This song means a lot to me as I too have performed as a milk man.
