About
Ben is not only a great guitar player, but he's also one of my favorite music educators. He's been making great educational content for years and yet I don't hear much talk about him. Ben was also in a successful progressive rock band called Bent Knee.
What to listen for
Ben is an inspiring teacher and in all of his videos that he makes I get the sense that he genuinely cares about his students and their musical development.
Examples
Here is Ben dissecting a solo he did for his friend Adam Neely (another great learning resource). It's alright if you don't understand what he's talking about but he gives great insight into writing a guitar solo.
Another great lesson by Ben. He not only explains what the modes are but how to use them.
Ben had a period where he was making music out of Magic cards. Ben does creative challenges for himself pretty often and instructs others to do similar things.
