Jason Becker

About

Jason started his career with Marty Friedman in the band Cacophony. Jason would go on to release his own solo record and join David Lee Roth's band. Jason was soon after diagnosed with ALS and lost his ability to play the guitar. He continues to compose music in spite of not being able to move any of his limbs.

What to listen for

Jason's work falls into the neoclassical genre. His music tends to be better structured and more interesting than many of his other shred contemporaries.
