Pierre was born in Algeria but moved to France as a child. He signed the contract to record his first album when he was just 17. Pierre composes mostly folk and world music. He most often uses the DADGAD tuning. He plays steel string acoustics and has a signature guitar with Irish guitar maker Lowden.
Listen to how Pierre utilizes the DADGAD tuning to get some interesting chords to ring out using the open strings. Pay attention to how he gets his melodies to stand out. Also pay attention to his large dynamic range and different timbres.
This is the first piece I share when I introduce people to Pierre's music. It really showcases his ability to make the DADGAD tuning sing and bring out melodies on the acoustic.

Probably Pierre's most heard composition though many aren't aware of who made it. It was featured in the soundtrack of the anime Cowboy Bebop.

This is one of Pierre's compositions played by Classical guitarist Ana Vidovic. It's cool hearing how a guitarist like Vidovic interprets his piece.
