This is my explanation of Hip Cat's lesson and payment policy. To help make this explanation clearer, we'll assume you're taking lessons with me on Sundays.
Payment for lessons is due at the beginning of the month and is $120 each month. In a typical month with 4 Sundays this comes to $30 per lesson. Some months will have 5 Sundays in them but you’ll still only pay $120 those months. This gives you 4 “free” lessons over the course of a year that Hip Cat hopes you’ll view as free cancellations.
In addition to these 4 extra lessons I also do not charge if you cancel on the day of a holiday, or the day before or after one.
i.e. If Christmas falls on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday and you can't make it to your Sunday lesson you'll only pay $90 that month.
If you need to cancel your lesson, please let me know. I'm always happy to try to reschedule. Sometimes this means coming a different day of the week, sometimes it means having an hour long lesson the following week. While I do my best to do as many make up lessons as I can, sometimes it's not possible to align schedules.
If I cancel you are always credited $30 per cancellation. If a month has 4 Sundays and I cancel on one of them, you'll pay $90. If a month has 5 Sundays and I cancel on one of them, you still pay $90.
I do my best to keep my number of cancels to a minimum and to give you as much notice as I can when I do. This is usually a few weeks notice from me.
This has never happened to me and I intend for it to never happen. In the case this were to happen, I would immediately refund you $30 and give you two additional free lessons.
I get paid directly and I accept cash, credit card, checks, Venmo, and Cashapp.
